Spicy Chilli Garlic Paneer

Spicy Chilli Garlic Paneer

Chilli Garlic Paneer is a very tasty recipe served as a starter generally. It can also be served as a tea time snack and can be used as a filling in the Khati Rolls and wraps.

Ingredients

To prepare Sauce:

Chilli Powder – 1 ½ tsp

Garlic Pods – 1 tsp

Cumin Seed Powder – 1 tsp

Apple Cider Vinegar – 1 tsp

Salt – to taste

Water – 2 tbsp

Other Ingredients:

Oil – 1 tbsp + 2 tsp

Onion (finely chopped) – 1

Green Chilli – 2 (chopped)

Garlic Cloves – 8 Nos (crushed)

Sugar – ¾ tsp

Finely Chopped Cilantro (Dhania Leaves) – 1 tbsp

Corn Flour – 2 to 3 tbsp

Method

 

Cut the Paneer into cubes. Coat them with dry Corn Flour.

Heat 2 tsp of Oil in a pan.

Roast the Paneer in it in medium flame till the Paneer becomes golden brown. Transfer to a plate and keep aside.

Take all the ingredients under “To prepare Sauce” column in a small bowl. Mix well and keep aside.

Heat 1 tbsp of Oil in the pan. When it becomes hot, add the chopped Onion and Green Chilli. Sauté till the Onion becomes translucent. Add the Sauce and stir cook till the raw smell of the masala goes away. Add Sugar to balance the spiciness of the vinegar. Mix well.

Add the Paneer Cubes.

Simmer for a couple of minutes in low flame. Add chopped Cilantro.

Mix well.

Spicy Garlic Chilli Paneer is ready. Serve hot.

Notes:

Use fresh and soft Paneer for this recipe.

Roasting the Paneer is an optional step. This step can be omitted also.
