Mango Milk Shake is a very refreshing drink prepared using the seasonal Mangoes. Mangoes have great health benefits.
Ingredients
Ripe Mangoes (preferably Alphonso) – 2
Milk – 1 cup (Boiled, chilled full flat milk)
Sugar – 1 tbsp (optional)
Cardoman (Elaichi) Powder – ¼ tsp
Saffron – 10 to 12 strands
Method
Wash and peel the Mangoes. Chop them and blend to a smooth fine puree in a blender.
Add Sugar, Elaichi Powder, Milk and Saffron and blend it smooth.
Adjust Milk quantity depending on how thick the Mango Milk shake should be (More Milk to make it thin).
Transfer to a serving glass and garnish with little saffron strands. Chill it in the refrigerator and serve.
Notes:
Instead of chilling the Milk shake in refrigerator, one can keep the Mangoes in the refrigerator for an hour before use and use cold milk.
Milk shake can be served without cooling also.
Alphonso Mangoes are sweet. If Mangoes other than Alphonso are used, adjust Sugar quantity to make it sweeter.
Use Mangoes which are not fibrous.
