Omelette is usually a top favorite breakfast choice in most countries. This is a quick fix way to serve omelette and bread together. A great grab and go breakfast option as well.
Ingredients:
Eggs – 4
Turmeric Powder – 1/8 tsp
Salt – to suit taste
Crushed Black Pepper – ¼ tsp
Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
Grated Ginger – 1 tsp
Medium Sized Onion – 1 (Finely Chopped)
Green Chilli – 2 (Finely Chopped)
Oil – 1 to 2 tsp
Olive Oil or Butter or Ghee – 1 to 2 tsp to toast the bread
Bread Slices – 5 to 6
Method:
Break 4 Eggs into a mixing bowl. Whisk them. Add Salt, Crushed Black Pepper, Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves, Grated Ginger, Finely Chopped Onion and Finely Chopped Green Chilli. Mix them very well.
Heat a griddle. Add ¼ tsp of Oil and pour a ladle of Egg Mixture. Place a Bread Slice on it and press gently. Fold and stick the extra egg mixture which might have spread outside the bread slice with a spatula. Cook it in low to medium flame for 30 to 40 seconds.
Apply Ghee or Butter or Olive Oil above the Bread slice and flip the slice. Cook the Bread Slice till it becomes golden brown. Prepare the other slices also in the same manner.
Note:
Pour the Egg mixture in such a way that it spreads only to the size of the bread. Even then, it will spread out little when you place the bread and press. You will have to fold the spread out mixture back into the bread.
