Avocado Pakora / Avocado Bhajia

Avocado Bhajia is a healthy option among the Bhajia varieties. It is a very tasty snack to go well with the evening snacks. Just follow the instructions below and you will end with a tasty crispy Pakora different from the other usual Bhajia we make. Try it.

Avocado Pakora / Avocado Bhajia

Ingredients :

Avocado – 1 (select a ripe and firm Avocado fruit)

Gram Flour – 1 ½ cup (silted)

Grated Ginger – 1 tsp

Onion – 1 (finely chopped)

Finely chopped Carrot – 1/3 cup

Finely chopped Capsicum – 1/3 cup

Finely chopped Cilantro – 1/3 cup

Finely chopped Green Chillies – 2

Asafetida – 1 pinch

Cumin Powder – ½ tsp

Garam Masala – ½ tsp

Eno Salt  – 1 pinch

Salt – to suit tasteOil – for deep frying

Method:

Take Gram Flour in a mixing bowl. Make a batter of Bhajia consistency by mixing it with adding water gradually.

Add Ginger Garlic paste and the other ingredients except Oil and Avocado. Mix very well. The batter will become thick. Add a tsp of water and mix to make it to the Bhajia consistency.

Cut the Avocado into two pieces. Discard the pith. Cut the flesh of the Avocado into small dices. Add these dices to the batter and mix gently without making the Avocado mushy.

Heat the Oil in a pan. Once it is medium hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter with the Avocado dices into the Oil without overcrowding. Fry them till they turn golden brown evenly on all side by flipping them around.

Transfer them to a tissue paper with a slotted spoon so that excess Oil can flow back into the pan.

The Avocado Bhajia (Fritters) are ready. Serve them hot with Tomato Ketchup.

Enjoy.
