Pepper Mushroom Masala

Mushroom Butter Masala / Mushroom Makhani

Pepper Mushroom Masala is another restaurant type recipe and is a very popular recipe. One can combine Mushroom with any vegetable like Potato, Capsicum etc. This tasty thick gravy goes well with Roti, Chappati, Naan and all kind of Indian Breads. It goes well with Jeera Rice, Fried Rice also.

Ingredients

Mushroom – 300 Gms (Washed, wiped and cut into small pieces)

Gingerly Oil – 2 tbsp

Cumin Seed – 1 tsp

Curry Leaves – from 2 twigs

Onion -1 (finely chopped)

Crushed Ginger Garlic – 1 tsp

Tomato – 1 (chopped)

Chilli Powder – 1 tsp

Coriander Seed Powder – ½ tsp

Roasted Jeera (Cumin Seed) Powder – ½ tsp

Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Lemon Juice – ½ tsp

Method

 

Heat the Oil in a pan. Add Cumin Seed and Curry Leaves. When the Cumin Seed start crackling, add Onion and Crushed Ginger Garlic. Sauté till the Onion becomes translucent.

Add the Tomato and sauté for a minute.

Add Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Roasted Cumin Seed Powder and Salt.

 

Add the chopped mushrooms. Cook in medium flame for 6 to 8 minutes.

 

Add Black Pepper Powder. Mix them well and continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes.

 

Add Lemon Juice and curry leaves. Mix well.

Done!
