Ingredients:
Left Over Idlis – 6 (cut into cubes)
Gingili Oil – 2 tbsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp (optional)
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Finely chopped large Onion – 1
Salt
Curry Leaves – from 2 sprig
Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp (optional)
Idli Milagai Podi (Gun Powder)– 3 tbsp
Method:
Heat the Oil in a pan. Add Mustard and Urad Dal. When the Mustards splutter, add the finely chopped Onion and sauté till they become translucent. Add a pinch of Salt and Red Chili Powder. Stir well in low flame for a minute. Add the Idli pieces. Mix well so that all the Idli pieces are coated evenly with the spices. Add the Idli Milagai Podi (Gun Powder). Mix well so that all the Idli pieces are coated evenly and well with the spices and Milagai Podi. Simmer for a minute covered with a lid. Add a tbsp of Ghee and mix well. The tasty delicious Podi Idli is ready. Serve as a snack with cup of coffee or tea.
