Ingredients
Guava (Koyyakai /Peru) – 2 cup (Chopped)
Cilantro – ¼ cup
Green Chilli – 2 to 3
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice – ½ tsp
To temper
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds (Rai) – ½ tsp
Preparation:
Add all the ingredients and grind to a semi fine paste.
Remove to a bowl.
Heat Oil in a pan. Add Mustard seeds. When it splutters, add Curry Leaves. Stir for five seconds. Add to the chutney and mix well.
It is a different variety of Chutney for Idli, Dosa, and Upma etc.
Note:
Select Semi Ripe Guavas. Try to remove the skin as much as possible.
For a variation, add ¼ cup of grated Coconut and grind together. It will give another tasty chutney.
