Ingredients:
Basmati Rice (fluffy) – 1 bowl
Cumin Seed /Jeera – 2 tbsp
Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini) – 2 pieces
Bay Leaf (Tej Patha) – 1
Cloves/Lavang- 2
Cashew – 10
Cilantro – 2 tbsp. (finely chopped)
Ghee or butter or oil – 1½ tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat oil or ghee or butter in a pan.
Add Cumin seeds, Cloves, Cashews and bay leaf.
Sauté for 30 seconds.
Add cooked rice, cilantro and salt. Mix it gently.
Done!
Serve with Dal or any gravy of preference. Goes well with Dum Aloo also.
Notes:
If salt had been already added to rice while cooking earlier and there is left over rice, this preparation can be done in minutes.
Sauté slit green chili and onion and add before mixing the rice to add an enhanced taste and flavor.
