Butter Tadka Maggie Masala is a popular street food which is made with Maggi Noodles. There are many variations in making this dish. I like this dish very much. It is a simple to make dish and can be served as a breakfast or as a quick evening snack.
Ingredients:
Maggie Noodles – 2 (small packets)
Butter – 2 tsp + 1 tsp
Garlic – 7 to 8 pods (finely chopped)
Onion – 1 (sliced)
Fresh or Frozen Green Peas – ¼ cup
Carrot (cut into thin strips) – ½ cup
Capsicum – ½ (cut into thin strips)
Medium Sized Tomato – 1 (deseeded cut into small cubes)
Red Chilli Powder – ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Water – ½ cup
Finely chopped Cilantro (Coriander Leaves)- 2 tbsp
Method:
Boil enough water in a bowl. Break the Maggie Noodles and add to the boiling water. Add the Maggie Masala also which comes with the packets. Mix them well and simmer for 2 minutes covered with a lid. Cook the Noodles 70 percent only.
In the meanwhile, heat butter in a pan. Roast the chopped Garlic Pods, Carrot and Capsicum. Cook them for 3 to 4 minutes in medium flame stirring occasionally.
Add chopped Tomato. Add Salt and Chilli Powder. Mix well. Add ½ cup of water. Mix well. Cover with a lid and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes in medium flame.
Add the boiled Noodles. Mix them well. Adjust the seasoning, if required. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add chopped Cilantro, mix well. Now, add a spoon of Butter and stir well. Transfer the tasty Butter Tadka Maggie Masala to a serving bowl.
Note:
The above method was made to pack it in a tiffin box. We can make it saucy by adjusting the water.
