Aloo Paneer Sandwich/Potato and Cottage Cheese Sandwich

Bhindi Fry/Spicy Okra Strips

Sandwich with Potato and Cottage Cheese is one of the many sandwiches which can be prepared easily. Can be served as finger sandwiches for parties. Also goes great with coffee or tea!

Ingredients

Bread Slices – 6

Cilantro Chutney – 2 tbsp

Tomato Ketchup – 1 tbsp

Butter – 1 tbsp

For cottage cheese Stuffing

Crumbled Cottage Cheese (Paneer) – 100 Gms

Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)

Ground Pepper– 1 pinch

Roasted Cumin (Jeera) Powder – ¼ tsp

Red, Yellow and Green Capsicum (sliced) -1 tbsp each

Salt to taste

For Potato Stuffing

Potato – 2 (Boiled, peeled and crumbled)

Red Chilli Powder – ¼ tsp

Garam Masala – 1 tsp

Cilantro (Dhania) leaves (chopped) – 2 tbsp

Dry Mango Powder (Amchur) – ¼ tsp

Turmeric (Haldi) Powder – 1 pinch

Salt to taste

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients under cottage cheese stuffing and keep aside.

Mix all the ingredients under the potato stuffing and keep aside.

Spread butter on one side of the two slices of bread. Turn the slices and keep on a flat surface with the buttered side facing down.

Spread the Ketchup on one slice. Spread the ketchup on another slice of bread.

 

Spread potato stuffing liberally over the ketchup.

Cover with a plain bread slice. Spread the cottage cheese stuffing over it. On another slice of the two, spread the Cilantro Chutney.

Turn and keep over the earlier stuffed bread slices. Press lightly.

Toast this Sandwich in the Sandwich Griller till the grill marks appear. Turn and toast again in the Griller.

Cut the Sandwich into four or six pieces.

Serve with coffee or tea.

Note:

If Sandwich Grill is not available, use a non-stick pan to toast the sandwich with a plate on top of the sandwich and a heavy weight over it.  Once the bottom slice is toasted, turn and toast the other side.
