Ingredients:
Mini soya chunks: 3/4th cup
Green peas: ½ cup
Tomato: 2
Ginger: 1 inch
Garlic: 6 pods
Coriander powder: 1 tbsp.
Cumin powder: ½ tsp
Turmeric powder: ¼ tsp
Garam masala: ¼ tsp
Cilantro: 1 tbsp. finely chopped
Curd: 1 tbsp.
Besan (gram flour): 1 tsp
Chili powder to taste
Salt to taste
For seasoning:
Oil: 1 tbsp.
Cumin seeds: ¾ tsp
Onion: 1 finely chopped
Method:
Heat water in a pot and add salt to it. Add soya chunks and let it boil for 10 mins. Take it off the heat and let it stay for 5 mins. Squeeze out the soya chunks and keep aside.
Grind tomatoes, ginger, garlic, coriander powder and cumin powder to a fine paste.
Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow it to crackle. Add onion and cook till translucent.
Add green peas and soya chunks and cook for 2 mins, stirring in between.
Add the ground tomato paste, chili powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Sauté for 2 mins. Add ½ cup water, mix and cook and cook for 5 mins on medium heat.
In a small bowl, mix water, curd and besan together to a smooth paste. Add this mixture to the soya chunks.
Let it simmer for 5 mins. Add cilantro leaves and stir well.
Done!
Serve with roti, naan or rice.
