There are so many variations in making Sandwiches based on the likes and dislikes of every one. And the fillings used in the Sandwich varies from simple Cheese to all kinds of vegetables cooked and uncooked. There is a double decker Sandwich to make for a fulfilling meal.
The cuisine from China became popular in India, with schezwan sauce being its most popular condiment. So this Schezwan Grilled Sandwich is an IndoChinese dish! Whether this version of the Sandwich is available in China or not, this Sandwich is a popular one in the cities of India. It can be had as a breakfast or a snack with tea and is also a good dish for the lunch box.
Ingredients
Bread Slices – 4
Butter – 2 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Finely Chopped Ginger – 1 tbsp
Finely Chopped Garlic – 1 tsp
Finely Chopped Green Chilli – 1
Finely Chopped Onion – 1
Finely Chopped Capsicum – ¼ cup
Finely Chopped Carrot – ¼ cup
Finely Chopped Beans – ¼ cup
Schezwan Sauce – 2 tbsp
Method:
Heat the Oil in a pan. Add the finely chopped Ginger, Garlic and the Green Chilli. Sauté in medium flame for 30 seconds.
Add all the other chopped vegetables and sauté till they are cooked crunchy.
Add the Schezwan Sauce and stir cook all of them together for a minute.
The stuffing is ready now.
Apply butter one side of one bread slice. Turn it and place 2 to 3 tbsp of the stuffing on the other side of this bread slice. Spread the stuffing evenly. Cover this stuffing with another bread slice. Apply butter on top of this slice. Toast the Sandwich in a toaster till the grill marks of the toaster appear on the Sandwich.
Serve the Sandwich with a healthy drink.
