Ingredients:
Coconut (grated) – 1 cup
Dry Red Chilli – 5 Nos
Dalia (Pottu Kadalai) – 2 tbsp
Tamarind (Imli) – 2 inch piece
Ginger- 1 inch piece
Salt – to taste
To temper
Mustard Seed (Rai) – ½ tsp
Curry Leaves -1 strand
Oil- 1 tsp
Method:
Grind all the ingredients in a grinder without water.
Add water and grind it again.
Transfer it to a serving bowl.
Heat oil in a pan. Add Mustard Seed and allow to crackle. Add curry leaves when Mustard Seed starts crackling.
Allow 10 seconds. Add this tempering to the chutney.
Done!
A delightful chutney to be served with Idli, Vada, Dosa etc.
