Pasta is a versatile ingredient which can be used in many different ways to make tasty dishes. I tried my hand at a pasta dish with a different twist to make it an Indian Pasta. It is a very tasty dish and everyone will love it. Give it a try!
Ingredients:
Pasta (Macroni) – 2 cups
Butter or Oil – 2 tbsp
Finely chopped Garlic – 1 tbsp
Onion – 1 (sliced)
Carrot -1 (julienned)
Tomato – 2 (finely chopped)
Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
Jeera Powder – ½ tsp
Salt – to suit taste
Capsicum – 1 (julienned)
Noodles Masala Powder (from the noodle pocket) -2 tbsp
Finely chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
Method:
Boil two cups of water in a large pot. Add Salt and Pasta.
Cook till al dente (i.e. cooked to be firm to the bite). Refer the instructions in the pasta pocket for cooking the pasta. Transfer to a colander and drain the water. Rinse in cold water. Keep aside.
Heat 2 tbsp of Oil or butter in a pan. Add Garlic and stir for 30 to 40 seconds.
Add Onions and stir fry them till it turns pink. Add the Carrot and fry for 2 to 3 minutes in medium flame.
Add Tomatoes. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add Chilli powder and Salt.
Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Add Capsicum and continue cooking for 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the Noodle Masala Powder. Mix well and stir cook for 2 minutes.
Add the boiled Pasta.
Mix well.
Mix well and transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves and serve.
