This is a simple stir fry with Cabbage and Capsicum. It tastes very good if the vegetables are stir-fried crunchy. My mother used to make Cabbage stir fry. I made a small change by adding Capsicum. It goes well with Chappati, Roti, Rice etc
Ingredients:
Oil – 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 (sliced)
Green Chillies – 3 (sliced)
Grated Ginger – 1 tsp
Cabbage (sliced in stripes) – 1 cup
Large Capsicum – 1 (cut in juliennes)
Turmeric Powder – 1 pinch
Red Chilli Powder – 1 pinch
Finely chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat the Oil in a pan. Crackle Cumin Seeds. Add Onion and Ginger. Sauté them for 30 to 40 seconds in low flame.
Add Cabbage and Capsicum and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add Turmeric Powder, Salt and Chilli Powder. Add coriander leaves.
Add Coriander leaves.
Stir cook for two or three minutes more. Add Coriander Leaves.
Mix well and transfer to a serving bowl.
