This dish is different from the usual Bread and Omelette . It will look different, taste different and of course, taste good. 🙂
Ingredients:
Bread Slices – 2
Eggs – 3 to 4
Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
Green Chilli – 2 to 3 (finely chopped)
Finely chopped Bell Pepper (Capsicum) – 3 tbsp
Finely chopped Curry Leaves – from 2 twigs
Turmeric Powder – 1/8 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tsp
Ghee or Butter to toast the bread
Method:
Break the Eggs in a mixing bowl. Whisk well with a whisk or a fork.
Add all the ingredients except Oil, Ghee and Butter and whisk well again.
Spread Butter or Ghee on both sides of the bread slices and toast them. Keep aside.
Heat the Oil in a non-stick pan. When the Oil becomes medium hot, add the Egg mixture. Tilt the pan to spread the Eggs mixture all over the pan evenly. Leave it for 40 to 50 seconds in medium flame.
Place the toasted Bread Slice in the middle of the Omelette . Press the bread slices lightly and then overturn it and place it on the Omelette again. Leave it to cook for a minute.
Flip the Omelette along with the Bread Slices very gently. Cook for one more minute.
Transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot with a cup of tea or coffee.
Note:
I used three Eggs since the size of the Eggs were small. If the Egg is big enough in size, two Eggs are sufficient for this recipe.
